TO THE EDITOR:

For those thugs and criminals who would choose to use police officers as targets and fair game by thinking they can take shots at police officers with impunity or at will, police officers everywhere need to send a very clear message that such cowardly, senseless and atrocious acts will not be tolerated anywhere. Furthermore, I would submit and argue that until such time as police officers everywhere send that very clear message to the thugs and criminals in our society, that to do so is a “no win” situation for them.
