TO THE EDITOR:

Could the same group that want to stop the train whistles in Texarkana please work on closing Red River Army Depot and our hospitals? I don’t like the sound of helicopters. Also, work on closing the paper mills, they stink; and Lone Star Army Depot, I get upset when they blow up ammunition. In the interest of both cities, make Texarkana a “quiet zone.” Dream on, the railroad built Texarkana and pays for it today.

If you can’t sleep, try prayer. Satan hates it and you will go right into a deep sleep. Train whistles: The charm of Texarkana.
