American politics is nothing more than a phony sham. Voters state they want politicians who don’t lie or exaggerate. It is unfortunate that politicians can’t be charged with assault and battery or the truth. Politics is based on image, not reality. The spin on the lies and exaggerations is the image. The lies and exaggerations are the reality.

Politicians are master spinners but their distortion of the facts is transparent. The belief and acceptance of their spin is the result of either naiveté, stupidity or mental retardation. It can’t be blamed on ignor...
