Local animal charities need help. To those who don’t know, all of our animal facilities and rescue operations are funded by donations. The animal situation has always been grim, but with the slipping economy there are more discarded, starved animals and less in the way of donations.

If only people would realize the animal problem is of our own making, yet we are supposed to be smarter. If all of our pets were spayed and neutered a lot of the problem with over-population would be solved, then next would be educating the public on proper care as opposed to...
