I am a 72-year-old retired school principal who grew up in a time when being patriotic was fashionable.

When you heard the National Anthem you stood up no matter where you were, you were taught that you lived in the greatest country God ever allowed to exist in this world, we were and are now proud and grateful to be Americans.
