TO THE EDITOR:

On May 22, Texarkana suffered a severe thunderstorm. As the result of the straight-line winds from the storm, much property was damaged and/or destroyed. Thankfully, no injuries or deaths were reported.

Now, seven weeks later, those of us who fell victim to the storm are trying to repair and rebuild our property. Tree debris still sits at the edge of the streets in the Glendale area awaiting pick-up by the City of Texarkana, Ark.
