TO THE EDITOR:

I was just an impressionable lad between the ages of 11 and 15 during World War II but I still recall many actions take by our government in the name of national security, some of which I feel I am above now. One in particular was the action taken to round up all Japanese immigrants living in coastal areas of the U.S.A. and place them in inland internment camps; the logic being that such people might have relatives living in Japan who might influence their American cousins to signal Japanese bombers during air raid blackouts.
