I read with great interest the story on the Texarkana College Board and the vote on college President Frank Coleman. There were several issues that stood out at me. Like when the board president was quoted as saying, “Many of us were distressed by the legal nitpicking that appears to have occurred in taking action today because in previous years it’s been much easier.” Another, when the statement was made about having “$20 million in reserve” while some faculty work on computers that don’t have a USB port and run on Windows 95.
