In reference to the article on Al Davis and the push to rename part of Ash Street published in the Texarkana Gazette dated Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008.

Al Davis and a few of his select friends and acquaintances wanted at least half, if not more, of Ash Street renamed Willie Davis Avenue—to include the Historic District initially.
