I am 63 years old and a fifth-generation Texan. I have always taken pride in being from Texas, but now I have decided the people of Texas are no smarter or more independent minded than the people from any other state. The fact that the people of Texas will stand quietly by and let politicians pass laws charging them sales tax on an amount more than they paid for an item is unbelievable.
