TO THE EDITOR:

Where is the religious right? There’s a fair amount of hypocrisy going on among the religious right when it comes to treatment of the Republican nominee for vice president, Sarah Palin. The have remained silent in the face of controversial issues which Palin has raised repeatedly in a seemingly approving manner.

Palin cannot make a speech without attempting to make “Joe Six Pack” an all-American-boy. Obviously, she is not referring to Pepsi or Coca-Cola. Treating alcohol consumption as an acceptable part of American life negates efforts by countless group...
