TO THE EDITOR:

The United States has turned a page in time with the election of Barack Obama as a new president. We are embarking on a journey never traveled in our 232-year history. We have a man like we have never had before. He has some of the qualities of previous leaders, qualities gleaned from a generation never experiencing war, depression, turmoil, riot or revolt. This new leader will take this country where it has never been before as he takes the helm of this ship of state to charter a new course for our nation.
