TO THE EDITOR:

There are two misconceptions that our society has come to accept.

1. The 1st Amendment guarantees we the people freedom of religion. It does not.

2. Through the 1st Amendment was established “separation of church and state.”

Also known as “the wall of separation,” there is no such “rule of law” established by our Constitution. Neither of these privileges can be proved to exist inside the 1st Amendment. However, the rights due us have been denied us by our government.
