AUSTIN—Texas quarterback Colt McCoy is now the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.

At least so says the weekly poll of a handful of Heisman voters by the Rocky Mountain News.

Lets’ get this straight: The guy who three seasons ago was supposed to be a step down from Vince Young could end up winning the trophy the mighty VY couldn’t?
