HOUSTON—Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s former pastor will deliver three sermons on March 30 at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright was the longtime pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago until leaving that pulpit last month. Some of his past sermons have received new scrutiny and criticism in recent weeks in light of Obama’s bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Also seeking the nomination is Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama has denounced the inflammatory remarks from his pastor, who suggested in one sermon that the United States brought the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on itself.
