Inmate charged with 1984 death
DALLAS—A prison inmate serving a life sentence has been charged in the 1984 unsolved killing of a Southern Methodist University student in her off-campus apartment.
Dallas police said Monday that Donald Andrew Bess has been charged with capital murder in the death of Angela Samota, who was 20 when she was found in her bed with multiple stab wounds. Authorities said they matched DNA evidence to Bess using technology that wasn’t available when the college student was killed. The 59-year-old Bess is serving a life sentence for three unrelated sexual assaults. Featured Texarkana Business Directory Articles Featured Texarkana Business Directory Coupons
