HOUSTON—Houston police say two children were found safe an hour after the pickup truck they were in was stolen at a gas station.

Houston police spokesman Victor Senties says a woman had left her children in the truck with the engine running Friday morning when a man jumped in it and

drove off.

Senties says the two children—a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old—were found “safe and sound” and were taken to Texas Children’s Hospital, where they will be examined for injuries.

The truck, a black F-150, has not been recovered and the suspect has not been arrested. Police do not have a description of the suspect.
