HOUSTON—Houston police say a suspected burglar died in custody Monday after a struggle with officers that including two jolts from a Taser gun.

Police spokesman John Cannon says officers responding to a burglary report at a home in northeast Houston about 1:30 a.m. arrived to find the man running from the home into a wooded area nearby. Cannon says the man was still struggling, so Officer R.P. Johnson hit him with another Taser dart that ended the man’s struggle.
