80 dogs removed from Arkansas sanctuary
STUTTGART, Ark.—More than 80 dogs kept in cramped outdoor kennels with little protection from the heat were rescued Monday from a Stuttgart sanctuary, the Humane Society of the United States said.
The sanctuary owner voluntarily surrendered the dogs. Lou Guyton, director of the society’s southwest regional office, said in a news release that the owner had good intentions but “got in over her head and was unable to care properly for all of the dogs.” The dogs were taken to a nearby emergency shelter. Most of them will be going to an SPCA shelter in McKinney, Texas. Featured Texarkana Business Directory Articles Featured Texarkana Business Directory Coupons |
