Car bomb strikes convoy in Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan—A military spokesman says a car bomb has struck a U.S. convoy in eastern Afghanistan, wounding a soldier.
Sgt. 1st Class Joel Peavy says the attack happened Thursday outside Jalalabad, the capital of the eastern Nangarhar province. He could not say whether the car was driven or was parked. Afghan officials were checking reports that there were civilian casualties in the blast.
