NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—North Little Rock police say they’ve arrested a man over a shooting Thursday that left another man dead.

Police say Thomas L. Jefferson, 24, of England was arrested Friday afternoon. Early Thanksgiving morning, officers say they found the body of James Earl Thomas, 46, inside a home. Five other people were inside the house at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.

Police say Jefferson faces a capital murder charges and five counts of attempt to commit capital murder. He is being held without bond at the Pulaski County jail. The slaying is the ninth in North Little Rock this year, compared with 15 through the same period last year.
