AUSTIN—Police say a toddler was not seriously injured after falling from a third-story window at an Austin apartment complex.

Lt. Doug Dukes said in a story in the Austin American-Statesman that the 23-month-old fell through a screened window while playing with other children Friday afternoon. He said he believes the fall was an accident.

The child was taken to an area hospital for observation. It was not immediately clear whether the child landed on something to cushion the fall.
