Trout Fishing in America duo gets 4th Grammy nod
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—The Arkansas-based musical duo Trout Fishing in America has received its fourth Grammy nomination.
The group’s CD “Big Round World” was nominated Thursday for best musical album for children. Featuring guitarist Ezra Idlet and bassist Keith Grimwood, Trout Fishing is known for its high-spirited and often funny songs, and for performances that it can tailor for children, families or adult audiences. “Big Round World” features rhythms that range from world beat to jazz and includes titles—such as “Curse of the Spinach”—that were written from workshops that Grimwood and Idlet hold with school children. The group is scheduled to perform family concerts this weekend. On Saturday, Trout Fishing is at Germantown, Md., and on Saturday at Reston, Va. Also nominated were Beethoven’s Wig for “Beethoven’s Wig 4: Dance Along Symphonies;” They Might be Giants for “Here Come The 123s;” Gerard Schwarz conducting the Seattle Symphony for “The Shoe Bird;” and the self-titled “Brady Rymer And The Little Band That Could.” On the Net: Trout Fishing in America: http://www.troutmusic.com/ Featured Texarkana Business Directory Articles Featured Texarkana Business Directory Coupons
