Riceland confirms flash fire, injury

WALDENBURG, Ark—Riceland Foods officials are confirming a flash fire injured a worker at the company’s plant in Waldenburg.

Riceland Vice President Bill Reed says the fire early Tuesday caused first- and second-degree burns to 30-year-old Henry Gale Brown of Jonesboro. Reed says Brown is hospitalized in Memphis but is expected to be released in a few days.

Reed says the fire began when power was restored after an outage.
