Cat with bad eyelids could get surgery
AUSTIN— A squinting cat missing most of its eyelids could get surgery to prevent it from going blind.
The 2-year-old cat dubbed Noble was scheduled to be examined Monday by a veterinarian in San Antonio. The brown tabby in June was caught in a trap outside an abandoned house in Taylor. Dawn Shepherd took the cat to the Austin Humane Society, where the feline was diagnosed with eye problems that prevented him from blinking. Sheila Smith, with the nonprofit advocate group Shadow Cats, put out an online plea for help. The Austin American-Statesman reports Smith, within two days, received $2,000 in donations to pay for the surgery. Shepherd, who thinks Noble at one time was someone’s pet, says he’s “very sweet, and he likes string cheese.” Featured Texarkana Business Directory Articles Featured Texarkana Business Directory Coupons
