BARCELONA, Spain—Rafael Nadal won his fourth straight Barcelona Open title with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 victory over second-seeded David Ferrer in the final Sunday.
Nadal’s 21st straight win at the tournament improved his record to 20-1 in clay court finals, including 4-0 at Barcelona. Nadal moved to 6-3 against the fifth-ranked Ferrer, whom he beat on his way to a fourth straight trophy at Monte Carlo last week. The three-time French Open champion will go for a fourth straight Masters Series title in Rome, starting Monday. BMW Open MUNICH, Germany—Fernando Gonzalez captured his 10th career title and second of the year at the BMW Open by beating Simone Bolelli of Italy 7-6 (4), 6-7 (4), 6-3. The second-seeded Gonzalez wasted two match points while leading 5-4 in the second set in the clay-court match. He went on to win after breaking Bolelli’s serve for the first time in the match at 2-2 in the final set. Bolelli played in his first final, which he reached by upsetting top-seeded Paul Henri-Mathieu of France in the semifinals.
