LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—As a senior, Ouachita Baptist wide receiver Julius Pruitt is playing for his team—and his football future.

“He’s a good one. He’s a beast. ... He’s got a lot at stake to play hard every week,” coach Todd Knight said. “We’ve probably had more pro scouts through here in the last three weeks than we’ve had in eight years.”

Pruitt started the season with a flourish Saturday, catching eight passes for 158 yards in a 58-7 victory over Fort Lewis to earn a place in The Associated Press Small College Spotlight.
