AUSTIN—Hurricane Ike has pushed back the Arkansas-Texas football game to Sept. 27.

The hurricane is on a course for landfall in Texas this weekend.

Austin is not in directly in the projected path of the storm, but traffic could be heavy from evacuees, or law enforcement officers may not be available to work the game. When Hurricane Gustav threatened Louisiana, LSU moved up to 10:30 a.m. its kickoff with Appalachian State.
