HOUSTON—The Houston Dy-namo have postponed Saturday’s home match against the San Jose Earthquakes because of the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

It was rescheduled for Oct. 15.

While the nation’s fourth-largest city is recovering, many people remain without power and other services are still unavailable. The team followed the recommendations of city officials in postponing the game.

Houston’s next match is Tuesday in Panama City against Panamanian champion San Francisco FC in the CONCACAF Champions League. The Dynamo return to MLS action Sept. 27 at Toronto FC. ...
