AUBURN, Ala.—Bobby Petrino is coming back to Auburn, just not as offensive coordinator even though the Tigers are in the market for one.

Nor as Auburn’s head coach, a job for which he was once courted.

Instead, Petrino’s first visit back to his old school as the Arkansas head coach just happens to come three days after former boss Tommy Tuberville abruptly fired first-year offensive coordinator Tony Franklin.
