College Football: SAU’s McCombie earns place in spotlight

MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Ryan McCombie contributed with his arm and his feet—the way a Southern Arkansas quarterback is supposed to.

His passing stats, however, were pretty unusual for the Muleriders.

McCombie went 12-of-17 for 140 yards in a 45-42 win over Arkansas Tech on Saturday, earning a place in The Associated Press Small College Spotlight. He also ran for two touchdowns, helping Southern Arkansas to its first win of the year.
