ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Henderson State’s old quarterback helped the current one through an up-and-down performance.

Garett Manning caught 13 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Reddies over Harding 33-32 Saturday and earn a place in The Associated Press Small College Spotlight.

Manning was once Henderson State’s starting quarterback, but Roch Charpentier is handling most of the passing this year. Last weekend Charpentier was intercepted four times, but two big passes to Manning kept the Reddies in the game.
