Parker expected to miss minimum of two weeks

SAN ANTONIO—The San Antonio Spurs canceled practice Saturday, a day after All-Star guard Tony Parker sprained his left ankle and was expected to miss at least two weeks.

Parker was injured during a 99-83 loss to the Miami Heat on Friday, two nights after scoring a career-high 55 points against the Timberwolves. He was expected to have an MRI examination on Saturday.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said Friday that he expected Parker to miss two to four weeks.
