HOOKS, Texas—Former Hooks High School standout Teddy Hubbard has signed a professional baseball contract with the Cleveland Indians.

Hubbard, who just completed his sophomore season at the University of Oklahoma after being redshirted as a freshman in 2007, is a right-handed pitcher. He was taken in the 26th round of last month’s Major League Baseball’s free-agent draft.
