Pioneer Days, New Boston, Texas, will continue through Saturday. The festival will include amusement rides, arts and crafts, rodeo, street dances and more. Admission is free.



At 7 p.m. Thursday, Cinemark Theatre in Texarkana presents five of the nation’s most notable financial leaders and policy experts engage in a 45-minute live panel discussion of “I.O.U.S.A.” The panel is headed by Warren Buffett, with Pete Peterson, Bill Novelli, William Niskanen and Dave Walker. Elizabeth Carroll Foster will be at Lafayette County Library, Lewisville, Ark., at 10 a.m. Saturday for a meet the author and book signing for her novel, “Southern Winds A’ Changing.”
