The Colonel John West Chapter was organized on January 20, 1960 and chartered on Feb. 17, 1968 at the Texarkana County Club with 10 members. The Chapter held it’s first meeting of the new year on Sept. 6, 2008 at the Ark-La-Tex Research Center, Texarkana, Texas. Shelly Gill was nominated for “Dames That Make A Difference” for the 2009 year at the Texas State Convention.
