Texarkana Museum Systems hosts its annual Quadrangle Festival on Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12. It and will feature the lumberjack show, BMX professional bike performance, antique car show, children’s pet show and parade, Starz Search Youth Talent Show and much more. Popular country music artist Craig Morgan will headline this year’s festival, playing at the Saturday night street dance. Shreveport’s Red River Revel, an 8-day music festival, begins Saturday, Oct. 4, with a top-notch lineup: Edgar Winter and Trout Fishing in America on Oct. 4, Lisa Haley on Oct. 5, and Futureman & The Black Mozart Ensemble on Oct. 9.



Musicfest El Dorado will take place Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4 in downtown El Dorado, Ark. More than 30 bands will perform on five stages. Friday performers include Kenny Wayne Shephard, Reckless Kell, 607, Squint, Wiseguy and Dave Almond. Saturday’s performers include John Anderson, Shooter Jennings, Midnight 2 Twelve, Adam Hood, Outlaw Nation and Pail.

Texarkana Museums System will participate in the 4th Annual Museum Day presented by Smithsonian Magazine Saturday. Museum Day is a day for museums nationwide open their doors free of charge to Smithsonian Magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors. Attendees must present Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Card to gain free entry which is available in the September 2008 issue of the magazine or by downloading it from the Website.
