TexRep and Texarkana College Department of Drama present “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde at 8 p.m. today, 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stilwell Theater in the TC Humanities Building. Texarkana Symphony Orchestra and Conductor Marc-Andre Bougie present Beethoven’s Ode to Freedom: In Honor of our American Veterans at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Perot Theatre in downtown Texarkana. The show will also feature the “Star Spangled Banner,” “Armed Forces Salute,” “Fanfare for the Common Man” and “Ninth Symphony.” Other vocalists include Mary McMeans, Kristian Roberts, Kwan Kyun Joo, Lawrence Harris and the Texarkana Regional Chorale and Texarkana College Choir. Country music legend George Jones will perform at Music City Texas Theater, Linden, Texas, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30. Downtown Gateway Farmer’s Market, corner of 9th and Jefferson, is hosting a Handmade Crafters Market from 7 a.m. to noon every Saturday through December. Items include holiday yard art, wood carvings and embroidered hand towels.



Historic Washington State Park will have a Holiday Sweets and Treats, Dutch Oven Workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. The workshop includes how to cook and bake holiday favorites. Arts and Ends

Texarkana’s Regional Arts Center, 321 W. Fourth St., is hosting Landscape: Selections from the Wachovia Securities Art Collection through Dec. 6. Exhibit includes works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Christo. The Four States Art Club/Decorative Artists Exhibit is also on display at the RAC. The exhibit will run through Saturday. Also on display, Meaux Johnson: Expressions of Meaux and Lee Ruth: Backyard Safari through Jan. 8. The exhibit will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Admission is free.
