AARP Tax-Aide needs volunteer greeters, facilitators, counselors and coordinators for technology, administration and communication. Call Mary Ann Daniels at 903-791-6343.

Alzheimer’s Alliance needs people knowledgeable of Alzheimer’s Disease to answer the HelpLine evenings and weekends, and volunteers for light clerical work, fundraisers and other events. Call 903-223-8021.



American Red Cross needs trainees for disaster response, first-aid, CPR and water safety instructors. Call 903-793-5602.



Arkansas Department of Community Correction needs volunteers age 21 and older in clerical, client services, education/literacy, mentor, tutor and spiritual/faith-based. Arkansas Department of Health Hospice Program needs people to work with patients and families dealing with terminal illness or provide grief support. Call April Sellers at 870-773-2108 ext 221.



Arkansas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center needs mail deliverers and craft helpers, readers, letters writers and piano players. Call Deanna Prejean at 870-772-4427.



Ark-Tex Area Agency on Aging needs Ombudsmen volunteers to visit nursing home residents. Benefits Counseling volunteers are also needed to ensure the receipt of benefits for the elderly. CASA, Court Appoint Special Advocates, needs volunteer advocates throughout northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas to monitor child abuse cases and report to the courts. Children are not placed in the home, but visited in their foster placement. CASA provides training to prepare advocates.
