'Mickey Mouse' not facing charges in Arkansas county despite court filings

LITTLE ROCK-Court clerks in Arkansas say they don't have any knowledge of accusations against a "Mickey Mouse," even though online records last week listed a defendant by that name.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Arkansas' online court database showed a case Wednesday in Prairie County that used the identity commonly associated with Disney's famous animated character. The filings have been removed.

Records showed the criminal information was filed around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Des Arc District Court.

A prosecuting attorney for Prairie and White counties, Rebecca Reed, was listed on the online docket. A spokesman for her office also denied any charges being brought against a "Mickey Mouse" in Reed's jurisdiction.

It wasn't immediately clear how the filings were published on Arkansas' online court database.
