Daisy plant in Arkansas to be expanded

ROGERS, Ark.-Two makers of airguns are planning to expand the Daisy plant in northwest Arkansas.

Keith Higginbotham, the president of Rogers-based Daisy and Gamo Outdoor USA, joined Gov. Asa Hutchinson to announce the expansion of the plant in Rogers on Wednesday. They made the announcement at the Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas.

The plant will be the U.S. headquarters for Daisy and Gamo, which was formerly based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The expansion will create about 25 new jobs during the next two years and management officials at Gamo's former offices will relocate to Rogers as will several warehouse and customer service managers from the company's distribution facility in Missouri.

Daisy is known for youth and young adult airguns while Gamo produces high-end adult airguns and accessories.
