Proposed culvert project near Winthrop open to public comment

A proposed amendment to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department's Statewide Transportation Improvement Program for Federal fiscal years 2016-20 is now available for public comment.

The amendment would add a new project to the STIP-replacing a drainage structure for Hurricane Creek on state Highway 234 to the west of Winthrop in Little River County with a concrete box culvert. The structure was damaged during flooding events.

The public is invited to review and comment on the amendment's contents by July 27. The proposed amendment may be reviewed at the AHTD's Central Office, the State Clearinghouse or the Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Office.
