Domtar recently named Allan Bohn mill manager of the company's Ashdown mill.

Bohn will succeed Bob Grygotis, who will retire effective Sept. 1 after more than 40 years in the pulp and paper industry.

Currently, the manager of Domtar's Plymouth, N.C., mill, Bohn brings 13 years of experience at Domtar (and Weyerhauser) in various areas, including maintenance and engineering, corporate health and safety and mill leadership to the role.

"Allan has played an important role in developing an excellent culture in Plymouth," said Steve Makris, vice president of Domtar's pulp business. "He's a well-respected leader among employees and in the community. We're confident he'll foster the same relationships in Ashdown."

During his more than four-decade career, Gryotis has supported important projects and been a strong industry contributor.

"Bob is highly regarded in the pulp and paper industry, and brought so much experience to Ashdown," Makris said. "We'll miss his operational knowledge and community presence. We thank him for his contributions to the business and wish him and his family well in the next chapter of their lives."

Domtar is a leading provider of a wide variety of fiber-based products including communication, specialty and packaging papers, market pulp and absorbent hygiene products.

The Ashdown mill employs about 800 workers.

Worldwide, the company has about 10,000 employees serving more than 50 countries.
