HOPE, Ark.-Six people on a Hope school bus were injured Monday in a vehicle accident with a truck.
The students received minor injuries, an Arkansas State Police dispatcher said Monday night.
Arkansas State Police and the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office are investigating the accident, which happened Monday afternoon at U.S. Highway 67 and Hempstead County Road 189 about three miles east of Fulton, Ark.
The truck's driver and passenger fled the scene after the accident but have been taken into custody, according to ASP.
The names of the driver and passenger were not immediately available Monday night.
