PINE BLUFF, Ark.—Police on Tuesday arrested two 21-year-old men suspected of killing the owner of a central Arkansas pawnshop during an attempted robbery last month.
Daryl Strickland and Rodney Henry were arrested after police found evidence while searching a Pine Bluff home that linked the two to the Nov. 12 killing of Brandon McHan, who owned the Wise Buck Pawn Shop, said the city's police chief, Kelvin Sergeant.
Police previously said that the two suspects briefly retreated during an exchange of gunfire at the shop but returned minutes later to continue shooting. Another victim in the store was hospitalized with injuries to the chin, abdomen and hand.
A break in the case came after officers searched a Pine Bluff home and found evidence that led to the identification of the two men, Sergeant said.
Authorities said that Strickland and Henry were the suspects pictured in surveillance footage that circulated after the incident.
