How odd it was as I was driving to work Friday morning in the snow shower to hear Garrison Keillor mention that March 7 was the 85th anniversary of the publication of Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening’’ in the New Republic.

I got to work before Keillor’s “The Writer’s Almanac” was over, and I was tempted to indulge myself in what the National Public Radio folks call “a driveway moment.” That is, leave the motor running until the show is over.
