Tressie Mitchell is the new 54th annual Texarkana USBC Women’s Bowling Association singles champion after her 642 handicap series last weekend at Holiday Bowl.

Mitchell edged Pamela Nevels by three pins (642-639) to take the title, and Kitty Totten was third at 631.

In the doubles, however, it was Nevels and teammate Lisa Cain taking the top prize with a combined 1,235. Mitchell and Marie Perkins were runners-up at 1,221, and Angela Jackson and Debbie Nichols were third at 1,192.
