It may have always been this way—in fact It’s likely—but bowling seems to becoming more and more a family affair.

From the young to the elderly, everyone is getting in on the game. And many are coming from the same families.

I’ve lived in Texarkana 30 years and seen some good athletes turn to the lanes once they hung their cleats up. This week I interviewed Heather Polomsky, who won the Arkansas State Youth Championship two weeks ago.

Polomsky told me, “ ... my grandmother talked me into bowling.”
