With all the crazy weather we’ve been having most sporting events have been hit hard. But not bowling on the local lanes.

Scores in games and series continued to rise above their average marks. Which brings to mind a question. Why do none of the local and area high schools have competitive bowling as a part of their athletic programs?

Arkansas schools have the opportunity to compete in bowling, even advance to the Arkansas Activities Association’s state tournament, which is usually held in February. Texas schools aren’t so fortunate.
