Texarkana Independent School District is trying to raise the bar. Again.

Its teachers, with few exceptions, are the highest paid in the city. Now, in its continued quest for excellence, the Texas-side district wants them to be the highest paid in the region, and it wants to be able to attract teachers in some curriculum slots that are difficult to fill.
